'' It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried ''.

-Carl Rogers - Founder of Person-Centred Therapy.

October 2020 to Present - Hall Counselling Services- United Kingdom

I currently work as an online counsellor with this organisation.

April 2016 to September 2017 - Life Changes-United Kingdom

I have volunteered in this organization as a volunteer counsellor. My role was to see clients on a weekly basis. The standard amount of counselling that clients would receive was 6-12 weeks.

During my time here, I saw clients with issues which included but not limited to stress, career issues, unwanted sexual experiences, financial stress, career issues, alcohol issues, anger issues and relationship issues.

May 2015 to September 2016 – Yellow Door (formerly Southampton Rape Crisis-United Kingdom)

This organization specializes in supporting individuals who have been victims of sexual abuse.

I assisted the helpline, which provided by the organization, had been put in place to help people who found themselves in moments of crisis, or for those who needed help and information. These people were able to call the organization on specific days and times, and would usually be answered by volunteers, such as myself.

I also helped out with doing assessments for potential clients. My specific role as a volunteer was to help with the assessment process.  The purpose of the assessment was to identify what kind of support we could provide the individual.
