My name is Usha Nursing Dabycharun and I am a Person-Centred Counsellor. I am originally from the UK where I earned my Degree in Psychology and my Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling.
My belief is that the goal of counselling is for personal growth. If you know and understand yourself better, you will be able to have a better understanding of your reactions, feelings and emotions towards particular life situations. This, in turn, can help you have better control over certain aspects of your life, and living it to the best of your potential.
The First Step
If you’re reading this, that means you have some things on your mind that you want to try and work on. The first step is usually the hardest, but by looking for a potential counsellor for yourself or someone you know, you are on the right track!
Finding the right counsellor is the most important aspect of counselling, as a good working relationship will allow you to be at ease and open in your counselling sessions.
I offer an introductory call, which will allow us to meet each other, and see if there is a possibility to start a counselling relationship. Here, you can ask any questions that you may have in regards to counselling.
Having lived in both the UK and Mauritius, I have unmistakenly noticed the differences in culture, lifestyle and the way of life in general. Mental Health is a very popular issue within the UK and the idea of being able to speak to someone about your issues or problems is fast becoming normal.
By having counselling, you are offered a safe and non-judgemental space to explore the issues you bring. This hopefully will help you to understand yourself better and also to move forward positively in the future.
