My Belief

My belief is that we are all uniquely individual, and I try to encompass this idea in the way I work.

What will work for one person will not work for another.

My aim as a Person-Centred Counsellor is not to advise you or share my personal opinions. Rather, it is to guide you to your own solutions, which will work best for you.

Hello! I’m Usha. I’m a counsellor currently working online with clients who are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression and many of the common life circumstances that affect our mental health.

If you feel you need a safe and confidential space to talk, I’m here to help.
As a counsellor, I am not here to advise you or share my personal opinions. Instead, I’m here to guide you through your own thoughts, feelings and behaviours to help look for possible solutions, which will work best for you.

I understand that you are looking for the right counsellor. So I offer a 20-minute free introductory call (on Zoom or WhatsApp) so we can have a short chat, where you are free to ask questions and see whether you would like to go ahead and book an appointment.

Please feel free to contact me to arrange a call or first appointment at

About Me

My name is Usha Nursing Dabycharun. I am originally from the UK , but I now live in Mauritius.

Living in two really different countries when I was younger (and I still do!), I was able to see so many cultural differences. But it also started my interest in human behaviour.

After I completed my Psychology degree, I realised that I did not want to study people from the outside, but more understand them from the inside. I wanted to help people live their best life. And at the same time, I wanted to help them, and myself, become more aware of why we do what we do.

Through my own personal counselling, and also while training to be a counsellor, I discovered that speaking to family, friends, and colleagues about certain things, while helpful, is not always enough.

You don't always want or even look for advice. You may be ashamed or afraid to speak about certain things to your loved ones. You don't want to be judged. You don't want others to worry about you.Or you are simply trying to figure it out for yourself.

Does this sound like you?

Then I can help.
